Congratulations to Paige Q in Yr10 who has been chosen to represent England by the Schools’ International Athletics Board ( SIAB). Paige will now compete in the Cross-County International, representing England in Dublin this weekend. 

Paige came 10^th in the National schools Cross-Country Final in Pontefract to clinch the final spot in the England team and earn her second England Vest. She was in the intermediate girls race (Yrs10 and 11). There was a total of 344 runners, so Paige did excellently to finish 10^th after a difficult start, and this was enough to secure her place in the race on Saturday. Last year Paige became the first Torbay Athlete to earn an England vest since the early 90s and now she has gone and got a consecutive one! Super good luck Paige, from all at Coombeshead Academy.
