February saw LGBTQ history month and students at Coombeshead Academy actively took part in this.

The LGBTQ student focus group have been using their weekly meetings to discuss plans for the future including displays around the school, LGBTQ ambassadors and increasing the general awareness of LGBTQ issues.

We have a newly created resources section within our school library and are looking to expand upon this over the next few weeks/ months. This is on the back of whole staff training delivered earlier in the school year from the local support group Proud2Be.

LGBTQ meetings will continue to take place every Monday during Break 1 in E7 – all are welcome!
